- A full backup is a backup of all the control files, data files, and parameter file (SPFILE or PFILE).
- You must also back up your ORACLE_HOME binaries which are used for cloning.
- A full backup can be performed when our database runs in NON-ARCHIVE LOG mode.
- You must shutdown your database before you perform a full backup.
- Full or COLD backup can be performed by using the copy command in Unix.
